The National Lotteries Commission (NLC) funds non-profit organisations that play a role in the development of our society – through sport and recreation activities, through initiatives in the areas of arts, culture, national heritage and conservation, and through social services – including community health and literacy projects.
Paul recognizes the power of sport for learning and development – setting goals, overcoming challenges, and learning resilience, discipline and teamwork. When not playing, watching or reading about sport, or walking his dogs, Paul Farlam is an Advocate at the Cape Bar. Paul was also a founder member of the Five Plus Project.

Netball South Africa is the peak governing body for the sport of netball in South Africa.
JDI was started in 1998 with the idea to create a simple structure that would enable young people to use their centres of influence to learn, understand and then make a difference in other people's lives in South Africa. We wanted to show our friends how easy it was to make a significant impact, to teach them about the problems, the issues and the solutions available.
